Welcome to The Haven!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! We are located in Commack, LI and are part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. We are a congregation that is committed to Biblical, Reformed, Confessional teaching as well as being Great Commission oriented. We are thrilled to see the Lord's work locally here in Commack and in the greater New York area and look forward to having you visit and worship with us.

By Biblical, we mean we are committed to the Bible, God's inerrant and infallible Word, as the final authority in Faith and Life; so our worship services are saturated with Scripture, and the pinnacle of each service is the preaching of the Bible. While some churches question the Bible's authority, look to other sources for truth and guidance, or downplay the ministry of the Word, we are deliberately committed to expository and doctrinal preaching and teaching of the Bible.

By Reformed, we simply mean we are committed to the historic understanding of Christianity known as Reformed Protestantism.

By Confessional, we mean our understanding of Christianity is summarized in our historic "Confession of Faith" (i.e. the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms). This is the best known of the 17th-century Protestant confessions of faith and has been heralded as the finest Christian confession of faith ever composed by uninspired men. (We would be delighted to give you a copy!)

By Great Commission oriented, we mean we are committed to taking the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all of Commack, all of Long Island, all of New York (including New York City) AND to every nation. We happily and enthusiastically support the work of Gospel evangelism right here and around the world.

The Scriptures teach that the church of the living God is the pillar and ground of Truth (1 Tim.3:15). Here at The Haven OPC we believe that the gathering of the Church is absolutely essential to every sphere of our lives and because of this, we meet in person every Sunday for worship which are times of refreshing for our souls. We also meet Wednesday nights for a time of teaching and prayer.

We look forward to seeing and meeting you!
